In 1954, Federal Marshal Teddy Daniels and his new partner, Chuck Aule, from Seattle travel to Shutter Island to investigate the disappearance of a patient there, Rachel Solando. She had been sectioned at the institution for dangerous criminals at Ashcliffe Hospital, because she drowned her three kids. Teddy is a veteran WWII soldier, traumatized by the war experience in the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp and the loss of his beloved wife in a criminal fire. Teddy is unable to access the records of employees and patients and feels that his investigation is obstructed by the management by the Federal facility. Teddy has severe migraines and when there is a storm, Teddy and Chuck find that they are stranded in the island. Teddy interviews the internees and follows a lead to the lighthouse, where he discloses the mystery about the Shutter Island.

I have watched this film recently.I love it.Shutter Island. A film that will make you question your own sanity. A film that will leave you breathless.It is amazing. I chose this movie because I did not watch like an significant movie before.I think that you should watch it.However, this is a film you must watch carefully.I do not want to talk about the end of the film because I want you to watch and see. Trust me, you probably wont like it.The film is fictionalised so perfectly that every scene, every charachter and every event ,that is;everything, involves different meanings.Until the end of the film, it keeps you seat.

WHAT CAN BE DONE TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT?

I want to talk about protecting the environment because we have to try to protect the environment.

I think that there are three main ways to protect the environment. The first way is that governments can try to raise awareness of public in order to protect the environment. They can organize seminars and develop projects about preserving the environment. Moreover, governments can print posters, make public advertisements and distribute brochures. In this way, governments can heighten awareness of public. 

The second way is that people can plant trees. That’s why, trees prevent noise and air pollution in the environment. For example, a pine tree converts carbon dioxide that 40 people breathe out within an hour to oxygen in an hour. In other words, the more people plant trees the more they can safeguard the environment. 

The third way is that people can use renewable energy sources. Burning coal or other fuels emits greenhouse gases and pollution in the environment. For example, an average home powered by a coal utility burns 12.000 pounds of coal in a year. On the other hand, by using renewable energy as the primary power source, the reduction of pollution per household is equivalent to that of planting 400 trees. To sum up, the environment can be protected by heightening awareness of public, planting trees and using renewable energy sources.I talked about protecting the environment.I hope that these are useful.

I used to be king of burgers

Bai Fang Li

I am sure that you have not heard  "Bai Fang Li" before.He is really significant person.The Virtuous Mr. Bai Fang Li Bai Fangli  was a Chinese pedicab driver who donated 350,000 yuan to enable more than 300 poor students continue with their studies.

I really want him to be famous because he has already deserved this.I really want to meet him.All the world should take a lesson from Bai Fang Li. In 2005, he died at the age of 93. In 1987 he retired from his pedicab driving job and returned to his village where he saw many children working in the field because they couldn't afford education. At that time he was 74 years old and he decided to go back to his job of driving a pedicab in Tianjin. Till 2001 he often worked long shifts, sometimes 24 hours at a stretch so that he could make the money to pay the installment for the school fee. He got an accommodation close to the railway and would wait 24 hours a day, eat simple food and wore second hand discarded clothes. At the age of 90 he paid his last installment to the school and retired from his job.

Hi Guys!Iwant to introduce myself.I am Şeyda Üstün.I was born on 15 May 1995 in Konya.I have two brothers and one sister.My sister name is Havvanur, my brothers name are Ufuk and Çağlayan.Havvanur and Ufuk study in high school and Çağlayan studies in secondary education.My family lives in Konya.

I graduated from  Atatürk Anatolian Teacher Training High School in Konya.I always want to be in METU when I was in high school.I!m really happy to be here.Although I like my department, I don't want to be a teacher.I want to work in the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs.

I want to talk about my hobbies.I like watching movies and listening music.My favorite movie is Inception. I really love it.It is really interesting.I think its director is really creative.

I say I like listening music before.My favorite music group is One Direction.I listen the whole songs and my most favorite song is "While We're Young".In addition, I like Bruno Mars' songs.If you want, you can listen some of them.

I don't like reading book, but the best book I've read recently is Son Kamelya which is written by Sarah Jio.
